Description:
The Federal Institute for Geosciences and Raw Materials (BGR) intends to model the modeling of regionally prevailing flow speeds and directions for the BGR license area with one focus as part of the license on marine polymetallic sulfide fields in the Indian Ocean To commission the flow model close to the ground. Which existing measured data is to integrate and use for validation. and Vertical mixture with the inclusion of topographical circumstances are taken into account. Changes in the prevailing flow directions and flow speeds and prevailing transport routes in the water column simulated become. In addition, oceanographic flow models based on satellite data are to be dynamically integrated for the entire Indian ocean with a relatively low resolution. A dynamic combination (e.g. as an "Open Boundary Conditions" of the regional model to take into account superordinate oceanographic factors) is intended to define realistic framework for the regional model.
