- The Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Occupational Medicine (BauA) is researching for a safe, healthy and human-friendly world of work. The research of the Baua and the tasks based on it in political counseling, in their sovereign tasks and the scientific-based transfer require well-founded insights into the world of work in Germany. As a departmental research institution, Baua is subject to the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) and advises the BMAS in all questions of security and health at work as well as the human -friendly design of working conditions.
The group 1.1 “Working Hours and Flexibility” of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and AR Constitution (BauA) deals with, among other things. With the analysis, evaluation and design of AR construction time models with regard to safety, health and performance. It searches for the effects of flexible working time regulations, shift work and mobile work and develops evidence-based recommendations for health-friendly working time design.
