Description:
In order to make the energy supply in the north of Duesseldorf more efficient and future-proof, a new U18 substation is being built adjacent to Nordpark. U18 is built as a replacement for U13, which no longer meets the new requirements. Here, the already created 110-kVtarget network consideration. U18 becomes a junction with a nine-span 110 kV switchgear. In the future, this will also supply the substation U36, which ensures the supply of the airport. For this purpose, changes in the form of cables are required at various points in the 110 kV networkdrawing work, muffling work and end cap assembly necessary.
The exposed location between the Nordpark, Aquazoo and the "White Settlement" requires a high level of intensive preparation and coordination with e.g. the offices of the city of Duesseldorf. For example, the Nordpark with four 110 kV XLPEroutes crossed. There must also be a connection with two 110 kV XLPE cables on Kaiserswerther Strasse, and the Hansaallee must be crossed in the area of the U30 substation with a 110 kV XLPE line.
