- Description:
- As part of MVV's decarbonization strategy, a second river water heat pump system (WPA2) with a thermal output of up to 165 MW is to be installed at the Mannheim large power plant site. A powerful system is used to operate them Rhine water system is required that ensures the extraction, pre-cleaning and hydraulic supply of the heat pump modules. The RLS lot provides the necessary infrastructure: - two new river water pumps (5.35 m³/s each) in a tubular housing design, - a new belt sieve machine (at least 6 m³/s throughput), - new check valves, compensators, fittings and instrumentation, - steel pipes to connect the pumps with the DN 1400 GRP pipes already laid outside (Lot RLB), - structural Adjustments such as support structures and guide systems for the screening machine and shut-off devices, - GRP baffles and baffles to calm the flow, - dismantling of the existing pumps and pipelines. The systems in the RLS lot thus form the technical one Basis for the extraction and treatment of the Rhine water, which is then fed to the heat pump modules via Lot GWP.
