The Institute for Fisheries (IFF) of the State Research Institute for Agriculture and Fishing Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (LFA MV) deals with applied research on fishing, water management and modern aquaculture. meet both ecological and economic requirements. Location -approved fish species and the implementation of inventory management measures in natural waters. on the aquaculture - i.e. the controlled rearing of fish. also examined environmental aspects such as water treatment, animal welfare and resource efficiency. three Locations Rostock, Born and Hohen Wangelin distributed. - either for the resettlement of endangered species, for inventory care in inland and coastal waters or for the stocking and transfer in Aquaculture systems.
