Description : The University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich (UniBw M) was founded in 1973 at the request of the then Federal Minister of Defense, Helmut Schmidt, under the name "University of the Federal Armed Forces Munichn". It is one of two universities that the Bundeswehr has for the training of its officer candidates and young officers. On August 11th, 2020, the UniBw M founded a new "Center for Digitization and Technology Research of the German Armed Forces" (DTEC.Bw for short). crisis and will be provided with research funds from the economic stimulus program by the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVg).
