As a professional control center for the public health service (OeGD), the laboratory supports
In the 38 advice centers for HIV/AIDS and other STIs, which are at the health offices are offered both anonymous advice and free tests on StIS (see §§ 9 Paragraph 1 OeGDG IVM 24 IFSG). The tests are sent to the LGA laboratory for diagnostics (see Section 16 (1) No. 4 OeGDG). This large device is used to sample material to examine HIV/AIDS and for further sexually transmitted infections (STI). The examination includes rehearsal cleaning, nucleic acid extraction, amplification and detection of the pathogens.
The offer of testing, in particular on Chlamydia (CT) and Gonorrhea (GN), Is extraordinarily well received. Between 25,000 and 30,000 samples in the LGA are analyzed annually. The device must therefore be continuously sacrificed with a throughput of 250 samples in 8 hours and can be equipped with reagents and washing buffers while running. The Reagents are usually ordered monthly.
Propertive rehearsal volume:
- 25,000 rehearsals/year on CT and NG,
- 400 rehearsals/year on hepatitis C, if addiction test in step diagnosis is positive.
