Description:
The Federal Society for Final Members MBH (BGE) is the operator of the repository for radioactive waste Morsleben (Eram) in Saxony-Anhalt. Between 1971 and 1991 and from 1994 to 1998, around 37,000 cubic meters of weak and medium radioactive waste were stored here. The repository should be in the future be shut down while the waste is left. In order to carry out maintenance work on electrical systems on the mine site for days, a van of the Volkswagen T5 workshop car is currently available to employees, which is now 12 years old.
