Description:
The Caritas Association of the Diocese of Eichstatt e.V. plans the demolition and replacement building of the special school and 1x gymnasium with a free sports facility in the Caritas Children's Village Marienstein in Eichstatt.
The school is located on the property of the Caritas Children's Village Marienstein in Eichstatt and was in the 1970s planned by the architects Eckert Jakubik. Architecturally, the village is to be viewed as a branch of the Olympic village in Munich, as it was planned and built in the same pretense concrete-finished construction.
The buildings should functional according to the currently pedagogical requirements adapted and made future -proof. The special school will be attended by children who need special social-emotional support and children with autism spectrum disorders. Physically disabled children are not taught here. On February 10, 2022, proof of profitability was "Refurbishment or new building" in accordance with the government of Upper Bavaria, which resulted in the decision to build the school and gym.
