- Initial situation The existing indoor swimming pool is no longer in use since it was damaged by fire. A feasibility study examined the options of renovation or new construction. The decision was then made to demolish the existing hall and build a new indoor swimming pool. The property is located is located in the Kostheim district, Waldhofstrasse 11. The property area is 10,632 m2. Aerial photos see attachments. The planned indoor swimming pool is intended to offer a modern, sustainable and barrier-free facility for sport, leisure and health. The aim is to provide local citizens with swimming opportunities all year round to open and support school and club sports. Area and volume planned: GFA approx. 5,200 m2. BRI approx. 23,350m³. Building: -Sports pool 25 m, at least 6 lanes with starting blocks and diving boards 1m and 3m. -Teaching swimming pool water depth 0.75 - 1.35 m, alternatively with lifting floor. Possibly with short slide. -Children's and paddling pools with water features, spatially separated from the other pools. With seating for parents and children and an adjacent changing room. -Changing areas with approx. 250 cupboards and shower areas, divided into public areas and a separate entrance for Students and clubs. -Foyer with seating for short stays. Storage room for strollers. Checkout area with back office. -Office, technical and storage rooms. Changing rooms and showers and lounge for staff. Outdoor facilities: -Barrier-free main access with forecourt design. Sitting, playing and waiting area for children and families. Green areas and plants for shade. -Bicycle parking spaces, possibly with a roof. -Parking is available at the neighboring sports hall. -Depot with separate access. Supporting structure: No specification has been made for the building construction should be determined in the planning process.
