DESY | CTAO: Packaging, transport and unloading of components of the Medium Sized Telescopes (MST) to the CTAO South Site (Chile) The German Electron Synchrotron ("DESY") is a research facility with locations in Hamburg and Zeuthen (Brandenburg). The DESY is a publicly funded national research center and member of the Helmholtz Association in Germany. The Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory ("CTAO") is a ground-based gamma astronomy observatory. Mit insgesamt 64 Telescopes spread across locations in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, CTAO will be the most sensitive instrument ever built to study high-energy phenomena in the Universe. Construction of the observatory recently began. DESY is responsible for the development and construction of the Medium-Sized Telescopes ("MST") for CTAO. In a first phase, two Pathfinder telescopes will be built at the southern observatory site in Chile. Twelve additional MSTs are currently being built planned at the named location in Chile. In addition, DESY plans to build up to nine MSTs on the Canary Island of La Palma (Spain). The subject of the award procedure is the provision of logistical services for packaging, provision of a total of around 20 containers (steel structure), loading, international transport, coordinated delivery, unloading and handover of components of the respective telescope from production and storage...
