- Determination of the ecological minimum water flow on the Legnitzka and Buchholzer Wasser Determination of the ecological minimum water flow on the Legnitzka and Buchholzer Wasser Objective The ecological minimum water quantities of the Legnitzka as well of Buchholz water must be determined taking into account the legal basis (WHG, OGewV, WWRL) as well as the above-mentioned LAWA recommendation, the biotope runoff approach described therein or a simplified procedure if necessary. Those necessary for the biocenosis Minimum requirements regarding water depth and flow speed and the resulting flow rate must be identified through measurements at various locations along the water course. The resulting ecological Minimum water flow should then be classified in terms of the flow regime (depending on the available data in relation to (quasi)natural and/or actual flow). The method used to determine the ecological The minimum water flow should subsequently be analyzed and evaluated with regard to its practicability on the rivers, whereby recommendations already developed from another study can be built on.
