The German Aerospace Center is currently planning and building the research park
Wind Energy Krummendeich WiValdi (forschungspark-windenergie.de). A total of three wind turbines and five meteorological measuring masts are part of this wind farm. In the
funded by the BMWKIn the tenth project "OPUS 3 - construction of an experimental turbine" (FKZ: 03EE2045) the third wind turbine, hereinafter referred to as OPUS 3, is being erected. OPUS 3 is an experimental and modular wind turbine in the form of a test vehicle in the 500 kW class. The design of theOPUS 3 was already developed in a previous project, called design project in the following. It is now a question of implementing this design and erecting the wind turbine.
In the course of this tender, an experienced contractor will be assigned to develop a certified baseline controller fwanted for the OPUS 3.
During the development of the baseline controller, certain boundary conditions that are relevant for later research operations with the system must be met. The baseline controller includes the usual functions of power control via pitch and generator torque as well as dYaw control for yaw tracking. In addition, the controller to be developed must allow the possibility of later expansion to additional control variables.
