Description:
The traffic area is located on a quay wall and is currently used as a parking lot, among other things. In the present procedure, this area is referred to as "Kehrwiederplatz". The length of the water-side quay wall is approx. 195 m. The historic quay construction was built in the 1880s. InA renovation took place in the 1960s, with a sheet pile wall facing and a deep-founded reinforced concrete angle support wall being built. The Speicherstadt is criss-crossed by an extensive network of streets. The streets largely retain their original historical surfacesfastenings and cross-sections. In other sub-areas, however, the road surfaces are highly divided, have a wide variety of materials in terms of surface paving and are functionally divided inconsistently. In order to contribute to the future development of the SpeicherstadtIn order to take into account the mixed-use, inner-city district, the existing streets and paths must be adapted and converted in accordance with the new usage requirements and current regulations.
