Description:
The University of the Bundeswehr Munich (Unibw M) was founded in 1973 at the end of the then Federal Minister of Defense, Helmut Schmidt, under the name "University of the Bundeswehr Munich". She is one of two universities that the Bundeswehr to train its officer candidates and has young officers. The university belongs to the civilian organizational sector and is assigned to the Federal Ministry of Defense. The Unibw M founded a new "Center for Digitization and Technology Research by the Bundeswehr" (DTEC.BW) on August 11, 2020. dtec.bw is part of the federal government's economic stimulus program to overcome the Covid-19 crisis and is equipped with research funds from the economic stimulus program via the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVG). The project "Competence for Digital Working World - (Kodia) - Towing in Digitization is funded by dtec.bw. Dtec.bw is financed by the European Union - Next Generationeu. As part of the research project DTEC.BW Kodia, the Unibw M intends a resource management training tool (RMTT) for military hospitals as well as for the association of civil and military To develop hospitals in the event of state and alliance defense (LV/BV).
