- The digital microscope is to be used primarily at the Stade location in the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
For this, components are both manually and automated Made from fiber composite - primarily CFRP and GfK - and then examined in order to be able to attract conclusions from manufacturing parameters to the component quality. In particular, the crack formation in CfK samples is to be examined to the tightness of CFRP tanks for cryogenic hydrogen investigate. The samples must be ground several times and measured as automatically with the same parameters on the same coordinates.
