Description:
The former barracks Cracau is located in Magdeburg, in the Cracau district. The area of the property is approximately 22 ha. In the northeastern part of the background there are 25 buildings with extensions that are dismantled as part of this measure. These are vehicle halls, social and accommodation buildings plus extensions and 2 heating houses. The vehicle halls are made of reinforced concrete parts and are covered with Wellas stocks or several layers of roofing pathways (some asbestos and PAH-containing). Some buildings have been in danger of collapse or have already collapsed. The social buildings consist of brick masonry with clamping concrete ceilings or wooden binders. Two buildings were identified as a heating house due to their construction (chimneys and remains of a boiler system). In the dismantling area there are remains of a petrol station with a vehicle and wash lamp as well as a total of eight underground tanks. The tanks were already pumped, cleaned and flushed with a stick as part of another measure.
