Description:
In order to phase out coal by 2030, Vattenfall is currently planning a fundamental and comprehensive conversion of its most powerful Berlin cogeneration plant Reuter West in Spandau. This modernization program is a key contribution to Berlin's coal phase-out and the city's supply of fossil-free, climate-neutral heat. With the replacement of hard coal firing in heat generation - especially in the Reuter West thermal power station - Vattenfall will make the largest single contribution to Berlin's path to climate neutrality by 2030. The transformation program for the Reuter West location, whichenvisages a system configuration with an innovative mix of efficiency technologies and various promising energy sources instead of using hard coal and also increasingly including other non-fossil energy sources, such as waste heat, in the fossil-free, climate-neutral district heating supplyeht, is an important prerequisite for Berlin's phase-out of coal by 2030 and the achievement of Berlin's climate protection goals.
The scope of work to be tendered here is the dismantling of five hall structures to clear the building site.
