Description:
In cooperation with Energiesuedwest AG, the city of Landau in the Palatinate pursues an ambitious plan to convert heat supply to renewable energies, in particular by expanding district heating based on deep geothermal energy. The aim is to the city's total heat requirement and to cover their city villages by 2045 climate -neutral and at fair prices. A central element of this plan is to use the deep geothermal energy. The available geothermal energy is considered sufficient to cover the entire heat requirement. From 2028 a central Heat supply from deep geothermal energy in the new industrial area of the trade fair grounds Suedost (D12), which is gradually extended to the entire district. The implementation of these measures requires the gradual structure of a new district heating network.
