• DLR Ulm site - RAPID_KI Building 7 - General planning services, service phases 3-9 according to HOAI The DLR Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI) needs a suitable environment at the Ulm location for development and testing. For the RAPID project (formerly MATE) a partial area in building 7 is available. The aim is to create a room with an area of ​​approx. 200 m² and a clear height of at least 5 m. The inner walls should serve as projection surfaces and therefore if possible be smooth and free of superstructures. Joints and joints must be reduced to a minimum. A control room with a direct line of sight to the open space is required for monitoring. There are also rooms for a woodworking workshop as well to build a precision engineering workshop. These will be housed in the side rooms around the former drop tower on the ground floor and first floor. In this context, the installation of a new staircase is planned. The control room will be between the Corridor of the former drop tower and building 7 on the 1st floor. This also requires the installation of an additional staircase. To implement the measure, existing laboratory rooms with system partitions and brick walls must be dismantled including the associated technical infrastructure required.
