- The Caritas Hospital Bad Mergentheim is a central point of contact in the supply area in the treatment of emergency patients-analogous to the supply mandate as a hospital of central care. Due to the increased patient volume, a restructuring of the processes in the central Emergency room as well as a new planning and expansion of the treatment capacities. With the present concept for the restructuring of the ZNA, the Caritas Hospital is innovative, well positioned and takes up the perspectives in the area of emergency care at an early stage.
The concept provides for the following measures:
• Establishment of a jointly usable control center for the KV emergency practice and the ZNA while maintaining the corresponding
sectoral separation options
• Establishment flexibly usable treatment rooms
• Creation of the requirements for the establishment of a Integrated emergency center (inz)
• Enlargement of the number of shock rooms and treatment rooms, analogous to the increasing need for emergency treatment structures
• Integration of monitoring beds into the emergency room
• Adjustment of the patient control system
• Optimization of the access situation for vehicles of the Emergency services
• Creation of a septic intervention/ shock space and treatment options for patients subject to isolation
• Procurement and installation of a computer tomograph (CT) in the emergency room, analogous to the specification of the GBA
