- The project “DSTW Koblenz - Trier: Expansion of the 1st construction stage” is part of the continuous modernization of the control and safety technology (LST) in the DB InfraGo network and focuses on route 3010, in particular the Treis-Karden operating points, Cochem and the open route between Cochem and Bullay. The aim is to replace the outdated relay interlocking technology with efficient and future-proof infrastructure and to create stable rail operations. The equipment with DSTW technology is taken over by Hitachi Rail (formerly Thales). As part of this equipment project, the technical route equipment, the technical equipment and the traffic system planning of the above-mentioned operating locations will be comprehensively renewed. The implementation takes place in closely based on the first construction phase of the DSTW project that has already been implemented.
