- Description:
- The plan is to build and electrify the second track with a length of 29 km between Luebbenau and Cottbus. The line speed is planned to be 160 km/h.
6 new platforms will be built at the existing stops.
12 level crossings will be adapted, 6 railway overpassesgen and 18 culverts are to be expanded and 3 moor areas are to be renovated.
The project is currently in the approval phase and expects the planning approval decision by the end of 2024.
The preparatory construction measures will begin in quarter 4 of 2025. With the start of the 1-year total closure inThe main construction work can begin in December 2026.
The completion and commissioning of the section is planned for December 2027.
It is planned to hold a virtual supplier day for this project in the last week of July 2024 (July 22nd - July 26th, 2024).
