- The State Office for Agriculture and the Environment in Central Mecklenburg is planning to strengthen the dunes in the Prerow and Zingst areas by repeated flushing in the area of responsibility of the State Office for Agriculture and the Environment in Western Pomerania. In the period from October 2023 to the end of December 2023, the duneand the beach in front of Prerow and Zingst will be restored over a length of 4.5 and 5.8 km. Approximately 711,400 m³ of sand will be extracted from the Plantagenetgrund NW commercial deposit, sub-area 1. The classified material from the hold is to be conveyed to the installation site andto bring in the dune and the beach according to the profile drawings. Following the dredging work, the new areas of the dune crown and the seaward dune embankment are to be replanted with beach grass.
