With the planned measure, the development of a community and energy park, Lutherstadt Eisleben is taking on the social task of meeting the requirements of climate change, social participation and the needs of a livable urban design. The goal is to... to create a future-oriented area that not only serves as a recreational and meeting space for citizens, but also integrates innovative energy production with the help of groundwater and mine water. Lutherstadt Eisleben is therefore pursuing a twofold approach: the creation of a attractive, modern city parks and the establishment of a pilot project in the area of sustainable energy use. Particular attention is also paid to the active involvement of the population. Citizen workshops and participation formats are intended to ensure that the future design meets the needs and wishes of the users and creates a place that is supported and co-designed by the community. The planning area covers an area of approximately 10.4 hectares and is located south of the old town of Eisleben, between the train station and the city park district. The location is characterized by its central accessibility and its integration into a listed urban environment.
