- The AB building is part of the building complex at Albrechtstrasse 30 with the buildings AA to AD. The AB building (usable area 5,287 square meters) was built between 1962 and 1964 for what was then the engineering school. An energy-related renovation of the AB building has so far only taken place in parts.
The The clinker brick facade was renewed via the economic stimulus package II 2009-2010 as part of the "AC, AB facade renovation" measure. The auditorium has no longer been in use since the storm damage in 2022.
Energy-efficient renovation of buildings AB - building physics services
Measures are to be taken on the roof, ventilation system, Lighting, facades and heating planned with a focus on significantly increasing energy efficiency.
The renovation should be carried out in individual sections so that ongoing operations can essentially be maintained.
