Engineering planning services
BW 01/2025
The subject of this project is the construction and operation of an agricultural irrigation system near Ulrain (city Neustadt an der Donau, district of Kelheim). The project sponsor plans to irrigate around 1000 ha (Ulrain 800 ha, Sittling 200 ha) hops and asparagus construction areas in dry periods.
The project includes:
◼ Water removal (river water from the Danube)
◼ seven memory pool
◼ Water supply network (supply line (main line) to the storage pool) and line network
The basis of this pilot project is the feasibility study dated June 29, 2023, which is attached.
The irrigation association manages a total area of 12,000 ha, which are to be planned in the next few years.
The Ulrain area is for a pilot project. The service phase I and II for the Ulrain system have already been provided. The other performance phases build on it.
The planning services are expanded to include Sittling (approx. 200 ha) area.
The subject of the planning services to be commissioned is the service phase I and II for the extension area Sittling, the service phase III and IV of the overall system Ulrain and Sittling as well as the environmental planning phase of management phase III and IV de overall system Sittling and Ulrain.
