Description:
The Brenner-Nordlauf (BNZ) project is part of the Trans-European Scandinavia Middle Midermine corridor, which extends from the south of Finland to Malta. As part of the Transcean European core network, the Alpine crossing axis section Munich - Verona is of the greatest strategic importance for the Traffic in Europe.
The subject of the project is the expansion of the four tracks between Munich-Trudering and Grafing and the construction of a new two-track mixed traffic route from Grafing via the Grosskarolinenfeld area and the Brannenburg area to Kiefersfelden (border D/A)) and then further in Austria to Schaftenau.
