Description:
Establishment of an information center for the UNESCO World Heritage Naumburg Cathedral On July 1, 2018, the World Heritage Committee decided to include Naumburg Cathedral in the UNESCO World Heritage List. As a result, the United Cathedral Donors have adapted to the tourist needs Goals, in agreement with all those involved, decided to establish a World Heritage reception and information center in Domplatz 1. For this purpose, the entire building complex with the courtyard-side gardens is to be comprehensively renovated and expanded. This includes Among other things, extensive static upgrades, redesign of the interior for information offerings and exhibitions, new roofing and facade renovation. The Domkirchner intermediate building will be completely rebuilt, while retaining the west facade A lapidarium is to be installed on the eastern side of the courtyard. The Episcopal Curia Domplatz 1 is a high-quality monument in the core zone of the World Heritage Site.
