- The Heidelberg Water Street Neubauamt plans to build four relief fountains in the sole and on the head of the left lock chamber of the Aldingen lock.
The relief fountains are necessary to reduce the water pressure under the construction sole and to secure the building against swimming in the revision and operating status. As a result, the groundwater potential below the entire lock sole in the immediate area of the fountain approaches the geodetic level of the surface of the chamber sole and the level of the lock water level. The relief fountains are measured in such a way that the safety against swimming of the lock sole and the lower proportion for all assessment situations lies above the border state of the load capacity.
In order to achieve sufficient printing voltage, so that the limit balance of the design values is observed at each point of the construction sole, the production of four relief fountain with a diameter of at least 0.4 m and an inlaid depth of 6.5 m below the building edge is required.
