Description:
The Saarland participates in the EU school program, component fruit and vegetables, on the basis of the regulation (EU) 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and the Council of December 17, 2013 as well as regulation (EU) No. 1306/2013 with regard to the aid regulation for the delivery of fruit and vegetables, bananasand milk in educational institutions, the implementation regulation (EU) 2017/39 of the Commission of November 3, 2016 with implementation provisions on VO (EU) No. 1308/2013, the delegated regulation (EU) 2017/40 of November 3, 2016 to supplement the VO (EU) No. 1308/2013To implement Union law regulations on the school program for fruit, vegetables and milk (agricultural products school program law-Lwerzgschulprog) in the applicable versions.
The aim of the EU school program is to eat fruit and vegetables in children, especially atElementary school age of increasing the existing lunch catering by a varied and regular range of fruit and vegetables, and thus influencing their eating habits in the long term with regard to health -promoting and balanced food. At the same timeserves the program of the sales promotion of fruit and vegetables.
