Description:
In 2025, the Federal Government reports to the German Bundestag on the implementation of the sixteenth regulation on the implementation of the Federal Immission Protection Act (Transport noise Protection Ordinance 16. BImSchV), see § 2 Paragraph 4 16. BImSchV. In particular, it should be shown whether the immission limit values (IGW) of the 16th BImSchV meet the state of noise effect research and whether further measures are necessary to protect against harmful environmental effects by traffic noise.
In addition to the research project mentioned above, the BMV intends to assign an expert service with the aim of presenting the potential effects of a change in the existing IGW on noise protection measures on federal highways and the associated costs. The presentation should be made as an example using fictional road construction measures. The results are then to be projected onto selected demand plan projects.
