  • Description:
  • The contractor (AN) records the growth of three different phytoplankton taxa in a drop -based microfluidic system.

The three types of phytoplankton to be tested are selected by the client in consultation with the contractor at the start of the project with the aim that the species a)representative of water quality modeling and b) can be cultivated in the microfluidic system. Possible phytoplankton taxa are: 1x silica algae, e.g. Stephanodiscus; 1x green algae, e.g. chlamydomonas and 1x cyanobacterium, e.g. microcystis aeruginosa. The growth of the phytoplankton types takes placevia fluorometric measurements and measurement of the absorbance (470 nm +/- 20 nm). The fluorescence measurement is particularly exhausted on chlorophyll a (suggestion at 435 +/- 20 nm, emission at 685 +/- 20 nm).

The growth is depending on pollutant exposure and nutrient content (each with oneGraduates) as well as to record two different temperatures. The AN must therefore generally be able to carry out the temperature in the range from 20 C to 30 C at exposure. The light intensity in cultivation must be between 10 and 50 micromol per square meter perBe adjustable second. The exact environmental conditions for exposure (i.e. temperature, light intensity, nutrient content) must be coordinated by the AG at the beginning of the third quarter of 2025. For the three selected organisms, two different temperatures (e.g. 23 C,26 C) to test the influence of 25 different organic trace fabrics or trace fabric mixtures on organism growth. This corresponds to a total of 160 static approaches. Depending on the growth rate of the individual phytoplankton types(PhotoFluorimetric measurement/absorb, see above) at 0, 24, 48 and 72h or at 0, 72, 96, 120 and/or 144h (6 days). The measuring points are based on the course of the project by the AGthrough...
