- Specifications for the hardware (laptop and docking station) The medical faculty has asked the HHU Center for Information and Media Technology (ZIM) about the possibility of providing operating systems and application software for conducting digital exams for the 500 laptops used in the building to provide. The ZIM has offered the implementation of the requirement, the operation and management of the clients via the Matrix42 Physical client management system (with up to 10 different images or 10 software package lists). The offer is based on the following general conditions: - Compliance with a uniform standard portfolio, both in terms of software selection and interaction with other central IT services of the HHU - Use of the server and storage resources already operated by ZIM - The hardware procured as part of the construction project (laptop and Docking station) must be able to be integrated into the existing remote administration of the ZIM. This results in extensive technical specifications for the procurement of laptops.
