  • The subject of this tender is the transfer and storage of the northern and southern superstructures of the Free Port Elbe Bridge at an assembly site on Auguste-Viktoria.Kai planned by the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA). Built in 1926 and under The listed building carries road traffic across the Norderelbe and, as part of the Elbe bridge family, opens up the part of Hamburg south of the Elbe. The bridge consists of three individual, identical single-span girders (north - middle - south) each with a span of around 100 m and a width of around 20.8 m. The weight of a superstructure is around 2,100 t of steel and around 1,200 t of construction loads. It is a truss arch bridge that was originally a combined road and was a railway bridge. Due to the condition of the structure and the static recalculation, only limited use for traffic is possible and the end of the planned period of use has been reached. Due to a ship collision, the The damaged middle superstructure was excavated earlier and is not the subject of this tender. The two superstructures north and south are to be excavated as part of this tender and transported to an assembly site at Auguste-Viktoria-Kai and there be moved to the assembly surface using a sliding track that has been specially manufactured for this purpose.
