Artificial intelligence (AI) methods offer a novel, promising, data-driven and therefore realistic approach to modeling complex issues. These skills can also be applied to circumstances and occasions such as those in the area of mobility and aroundaround everyday traffic.
AI is perceived as a key driver for the introduction of future intelligent and cooperative mobility systems in the areas of automated and connected driving (AVF), as well as digital traffic guidance and control technology.
In order to test new mobility concepts, taking into account legal, methodological, technological, safety and social issues, innovation potential is to be increased through the development of a digital twin of an active test field in Baden-Wuerttembergthe. Such a digital twin should provide the basis for significantly expanding testing options for a wide variety of technologies, especially AI-based ones. Furthermore, such a digital twin of a real traffic system is intended to secure intelligent and cooperative traffic informationRastructures can be used to counter the potential threats such as cyber attacks that will arise as a result of ever-increasing networking in the future.
