• Expansion of the Leutkirch sewage treatment plant - object planning of engineering structures, specialist planning of technical equipment and structural planning The company “Municipal Wastewater Disposal Leutkirch” operates a mechanical-biological sewage treatment plant with a separate anaerobic Sludge stabilization. The expansion size is 100,000 inhabitants, the water permit expires on December 31, 2025. The sewage treatment plant needs to be expanded due to the significantly increased load and/or new design specifications. The number of natural The population in the catchment area is currently around 20,000 E, and one indirect discharger (whey utilization) makes a significant contribution to the total pollution. The future expansion size of the sewage treatment plant is provisionally 110,000 PE, the hydraulic capacity with mixed water inflow set at 340 l/s. A final determination will be made until the engineering services are awarded. Preliminary planning for the expansion of the aeration tanks was created in 2024 and 2025: The re-measurement of the biological level resulted in a necessary Aeration tank volume of approx. 12,350 m3, taking into account the existing aeration volume of 7,650 m³, the new construction of approx. 4,700 m³ is required.
