i2030 expansion Pex Sued (incl. S25 north):
Between Hennigsdorf (near Berlin) and Velten:
Expansion of the long-distance railway infrastructure and reactivation of the S-Bahn line between Hennigsdorf and Velten.
Project scope: planning and implementation of long-distance railway and S-Bahn infrastructure as well as accompanying Freight traffic facilities.
i2030 - new construction overhead line / electrification between Wittenberge - Neuruppin - Hennigsdorf (near Berlin):
It is planned to equip the Hennigsdorf - Wittenberge route as a whole with a overhead line (15 kv, 16.7 Hz)
and thereby the prerequisite for the To create use of electrically operated vehicles and the decarbonization of traffic.
The project is intended to plan and implement the production of a regulatory, contemporary and economical electrified railway infrastructure.
Variants must be examined, the following Projects enables the integration into the VSL.
