- Rodents are combated with biocidi as health pests, in this case, blinds. Rodenizides are regulated by the European Biocide Ordinance (EU No. 528/2012) (product class PT14). In Article 19, paragraph (1) the biocide ordinance provides as a requirement for admission: "The biocidal product has no unacceptable effects on the target organisms and, in particular Effectiveness of the biocide is taken up by this aspect (guidance on the biocidal product regulation volume II efficacy - assessment and evaluation (parts B+c) version 6.0 August 2023 Section: 5.6 Pest Control (Main Group 3), 5.6.1 General):
According to the BPR (Article 19 (1) (B) Criterion II and Common Principles Point 49 and 76 Biocidal Products Should no Unacceptable EFFECTS ON TARGET Organism, Including Unnecessary Suffering and Pain for Vertebrates (Humaneness). This criterion is relevant for Biocides in the Pest Control PTS14, 15, 17, 19 (Repelling or Attracting Vertebrates) and PT20.
