• The Federal Society for Final Members MBH (BGE) is responsible for the construction and operation of the federal government's investments to ensure and the final storage of radioactive waste (Section 9a (3) ATG). In this context, the Konrad shaft system is in accordance with the planning approval decision (PFB) forThe construction and operation of the Konrad mine in Salzgitter as an attachment to the final storage of fixed or solidified radioactive waste with negligible heat development from May 22, 2022 and the decree of May 30, 2007 by the BGE. The secondary determination A.1 - 2 of the PFB demands thatthe execution planning, the proposed measures for manufacturing and construction monitoring as well as the programs for the acceptance and functional tests and for the commissioning for certain ASK must be presented in good time before the establishment of the nuclear supervision. This appliesfor ASK, in which there are important design requirements in terms of security and which are assigned to the quality assurance range (QSB) 3 in accordance with EU 344. In the future repository, transport cars are used, which are assigned to QSB 3.1 in accordance with EU 344 successorthus subject to the preliminary nuclear law.
