- The Grafschaft Bentheim district is the owner of the former ice rink, which was built in 1976. In 2019 the hall was closed due to damage to the wooden structure of the roof. Due to the high need for renovation and the associated costs, use as an ice rink was abandoned. The districts Grafschaft Bentheim will no longer operate the hall and is looking for investors and entrepreneurs who are interested in commercial use and the acquisition or lease of the hall or the property as part of this expression of interest process. Usage concepts are taken into accountrtet, which include sports or leisure use and provide for the hall to be operated under the investor/entrepreneur's own responsibility. The former ice rink is located in the Nordhorn sports and leisure park, which is set to develop into one of the central locations in the county. In dThe area is home to the Nordhorn outdoor pool, the indoor pool, the "House of Sports", a youth hostel with a modern bowling facility as well as courts for indoor soccer and indoor tennis, the Nordhorn skate park and an indoor and outdoor play paradise for children. In the immediate vicinity of theSports and leisure parks is the "Ferienhauspark am Vechtesee/Seepark".
