Description:
Lower Saxony Ports GmbHrd Baltic Sea Canal, with short seaward trips and direct sea and inland waterway, waterway, road and rail connections to the port of Hamburg. Cuxhaven is a multi-purpose port with a focus on general cargo, car and offshore handling.
The expected utilization levels of the existing onesThe berths have already been reached today. For the future, this means that the provision of further additional capacities must begin in good time. For this reason, an expansion of capacity in the area of the Cuxhaven seaport is necessary in order to make the port competitiveto keep it rbs-capable and to further strengthen the city of Cuxhaven as a regional center. To this end, a gap between Europakai and the Cuxhaven offshore base should be closed. Three port areas are to be created here, each consisting of a quay and a terminal area with a berth in front of it. The portnareas are hereinafter referred to as "Berth 5", "Berth 6" and "Berth 7" (together: "Berths").
