Documentation and information center Stadtallendorf (DIZ) The DIZ, founded in 1994, is the first and oldest memorial for forced labor. It is reminiscent of the exploitation of around 20,000 forced laborers from 29 nations in the Nazi explosive plants of the at Allendorf, the largest in Europe at the time. The handling of the Nazi heir after 1945 and the change from dictatorship to democracy in rural areas is also documented.
