Description:
Traffic areas on roads, rails or waterways can offer habitat for animals and plants. Against the background of an ongoing landscape change and future climate changes, the ecological importance of such areas increases. This is already in the national strategy for biological diversity expressed. In previous research projects (Kunzmann et al. 2019; Schleicher et al. 2022; Schleicher et al. In Press), the potential of voucher areas with regard to the promotion of biodiversity, the networking of living spaces and the distribution Invasiving species examined across transactions. For this purpose in three different investigation areas (area size per examination area approx. 20,000 ha), a nationwide biotope type mapping was carried out in scale 1: 10,000 and in sub -areas on a scale of 1: 500.
