Description:
The reconstruction of traffic accidents is an important, but at the same time oriented and error-prone method for generating derived variables or a bandwidth of variables values. Although for reasons of practicability and application event (accident research), the requirements for reconstruction in GIDAS are others than, for example, for judicial opinions, a potential for increasing the efficiency of the reconstruction and the information content of the variables is suspected.
The accident reconstruction and thus sometimes the information order about the driving state before the accident is based on the key stalls and the temporal effort, which is spent on the reconstruction.
Target and benefits of the project:
The aim of the project is to investigate whether improving the reconstruction data can be achieved through additional sources of information and with the help of artificial intelligence for data acquisition of the pre-crash phase, as well as an increase in transparency, to what extent uncertainties in reconstruction on the reconstructed results impact.
