Description:
The aim of the F+E project is to work out when for certain endpoints in the GMO risk assessment can be used to compare a comparative approach and in which cases a per-SE risk assessment is required. Seven fields of action (AREAS OF RISK) are listed in the current guideline document of the EFSA for the risk assessment of GV plants. In the current project, the distinction between the comparative risk assessment and the Per-SE risk assessment must be analyzed at one of the seven specific fields of action (Area of Risk; EFSA 2010). At the same time, suggestions must be made for a number of parameters how the observed differences or values for risk assessment can be used as a basis for decision -making.
