Refoplan Title: "Air Cleaning and Climate Protection by strengthening public transport: Financing basics expanding and verifying"
In order to design the means of transport for public transport nationwide more attractive nationwide and thus contribute to a climate-neutral transport sector by 2050, significant efforts and additional funding will be required in and for public transport. For this purpose, several topics are to be edited: the basis for the required changes in supply extensions, decarbonization and digitization of the public transport is already published in previous work for the client. Basic questions on the determination of the financial requirements as well as possible additional sources of revenue were prepared and published for the client. The questions described in the research project described here are compatible with these preparatory work and in close coordination with the client, in particular with regard to the preferred decarbonization path, partly to concretize and to update partly.
