Description:
In order to achieve the Federal Government's environmental and climate goals, traffic-related emissions must be significantly reduced. For the success of the mobility turnaround in this context, bans and the "raised index finger" are only partially targeted. Instead, it is important to experiment, try it out and to “change” to alternative forms of mobility and new mobility behavior for citizens. Financial and intangible incentives can provide important impulses for this.
Against this background, the aim of the project is to examine various scientific approaches for a positive incentive to change behavior in the traffic context as well as practical examples of their implementation. The focus of the investigations is specifically on financial incentives (monetary and non-monetary) and intangible incentives (especially nudging, playful incentives, gamification approaches) with regard to their effectiveness and feasibility in traffic context, while incentive through classic infrastructure investments or operational mobility management expressly not to be considered ...
