Title: MSC OK? - Comparative investigations Experiments of certain and calculated minimum Selective Concentrations (MSC) - MSC as the basis of a valuation concept for the risk assessment of antibiotic resistance in the environment
In this project, the evaluation gap should be concluded with regard to the distribution risk of antibiotic resistance (AMR) in the environment within the approval of medicinal products. Currently, three promising approaches to MSC evaluations are discussed as a possible valuation basis for MSC values (MSC: English. Minimum Selective Concentration). The MSC values are calculated from publicly available MIC values (MIC: English. Minimum Inhibitory Concentration). So far, however, an experimental validation of these calculation approaches is missing. The aim of the project is therefore a review of the approaches or identification of the calculation approach suitable for the risk assessment by comparing from calculated with experimentally generated MSC values.
