Refoplan: "Implementation of the sponge city: Identification of the 10 most effective levers of the necessary transformation and sustainable sample solutions for roofs of the blue-green city"
The research recommendations of the UBA research conference "Climate silent Schwammstadt" (20.06.2022) focus on the content of the transformation options to be identified in the existence of urban rooms.
The first part of the project focuses on the implementation of the principle of the sponge city for urban climate change adjustment. The goal is to identify the 10 most effective political instruments for the implementation of blue-green infrastructures in the existence and bring together in a transformative policy mix. The political instruments should start at the central drivers and obstacles to the transformation towards a climate silver silent city, for which a vision and measurable goals are to be developed. Conceptively, the climate silent Schwammstadt is intended to be intended as a socio-technical system in order to be able to describe the transformation towards a sponge city more precisely.
